Rexygen Runtime installation after 31st January 2026
-
Hello fans of Rexygen software,
I have tried to install Rexygen runtime on my Raspberry 3B with the latest Linux distribution (Debian Trixie), which was created by Raspberry Pi Imager v2.06. However, the installation failed on this report:No binding signature at time 2026-01-21T08:35:23Z because: Policy rejected non-revocation signature (PositiveCertification) requiring second pre-image resistance because: SHA1 is not considered secure since 2026-02-01T00:00:00Z
I have also tried to download installation files for rexygen intended for Debian Bookworm, but it was also impossible, because my OS on Raspberry is Debian Trixie. I also tried to install Rexygen runtime as a single statically linked binary, but I don't have the api key because I don't know, how to obtain the SiteID if the rexcore service is not running and I am not able to connect to rexygen from host computer.
Did someone solve it?
Thanks Martin -

Hello Martin,
I apologize for the complications. This issue is on the REXYGEN side, and I have already reported it to the developers. I hope it will be resolved soon.In the meantime, I recommend using our pre-installed Bookworm image according to the instructions in chapter 2.2 Monarco HAT: https://www.rexygen.com/doc/ENGLISH/MANUALS/RexCore_Installation/RexCore_Installation_ENG.html#x1-60002.2
āAlternatively, you can install REXYGEN from Studio using the Quick bootstrapping guide in chapter 3.1: https://www.rexygen.com/doc/ENGLISH/MANUALS/RexCore_Installation/RexCore_Installation_ENG.html#x1-90003
Cheers,
Jan

@martinpies Dear Martin,
Thank you for pointing this out. Everything should be working now. The commandsudo wget https://download.rexcontrols.com/rexygen.gpg -O /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/rexygen.gpgwill now download the new version of the certificate, which is supported even under the new licensing policy.
Cheers,
Jan
