It would be nice to have the possibility to configure the modbus communication in a spreadsheet (excel) so we can import it afterwards. Something similar as the connection strings in the HMI Designer.
Maybe I overlooked such a function, if so then please share with me where I can find this one....

@apollo Hi Kris, thank you for an interesting suggestion, but we will have to work on other things in the near future. I'll include your feature request among other suggestions and when the time comes, we will implement it.
The Modbus configuration is stored in the project directory in the appropriate .rio file. This file can be opened in a text editor and its structure is inspired by Matlab .mdl files http://www.ece.northwestern.edu/local-apps/matlabhelp/toolbox/simulink/slref/model_file_fmt.html . In the future, the configurations of all drivers will probably be saved as JSON, so it should not be a problem to export / import them.

        Cheers,
        Jan

@reitinge Thank you for your reply.
It is just something nice to have, working in a spreadsheet is sometimes just a little faster.
I did try to work directly inside the .rio file but then I still prefer the included editor in Rexcontrols.
