      Hi all,

please find the installation instructions of REXYGEN pre-release version 2.50-next which is now available for testing. For upgrading REXYGEN on your Raspberry Pi please follow the instructions:

      • change the source for the APT packaging system:
      sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/rexcontrols-rex.list

      replace the contents with:

      deb http://download.rexcontrols.cz/repositories/debian-rex-2.50-next/ buster non-free

      Save and exit.

      • Update packages cache:
      sudo apt update

      • Uninstall REXYGEN runtime modules:
      sudo apt purge rexygen-runtime
      sudo apt autoremove

      • Install the newest REXYGEN runtime modules:
      sudo apt install rexygen-runtime

      • As for the newest development tools for your PC, please download the installer from https://download.rexcontrols.cz/rex/2.50.10-next/windows/REXYGEN-2.50.10.12932-x64.exe

Note: the instructions assume that you are using Raspbian Buster or newest Raspberry OS. If not, please upgrade your system.

        Hi Tomas,

I just wanted to update but noticed that there is a difference in the source lists.

        sources_list.PNG

And my file is called rexcontrols-rex.list and does contain the source list.
        rexcontrols-rex.list_file.PNG
I have no idea why this is a different filename, but nevertheless I thought it might be good to have this pointed out as possible situation for other users as well.

          @rexpeter Hi Peter,

thanks for your feedback. You are absolutely right. I have corrected my previous post according to your proposal.

I got stuck in previous version of our installation script.

          Sorry for the confusion.

          Kind Regards,
          Tomas

@cechurat Is it already a good idea to try this out on a Linux system (Debian / not RasPi)?

@apollo At this time we are not aware of any issue on any of supported platforms. However it is still considered as a Beta version.

@cechurat All working fine it seems....

By the way, thus this version already includes the external-svg feature which you mentioned in following topic : https://forum.rexygen.com/topic/193/user-menu-with-custom-html-object/3
